National Park Of Jharkhand
Jharkhand has a national park known as BETLA NATIONAL PARK located in Latehar district of Jharkhand. National park is designated by govt. in order to protect and conserve its special features and in some case its historical associations, for public enjoyment and scientific purposes.. The tiger project was started by the Indian govt. here since 1973.The park hosts a wide variety of wildlife.
It was established in 1986.
It is cover an area of 231.67 sq km.
The prominent animals found in this National park of Jharkhand are tiger, lion, elephant, cheetah, bear, chinkara, gaur, monkey, leopard, barking deer, nilgai, wild boar, hyena and langur.
In this national park has a variety of birds species can also be found find here such as hoopoe, bee-eater, jungle myna, red vented bulbul, black headed oriole, barbet, pied kingfisher etc.
Betla national Park is surrounded by full of adventure and green environment. Its features waterfalls and natural hot springs on one hand, and historical monuments including a 16th century fort of Chero kings on the other.
