Jharkhand History | Founder of Jharkhand Movement | Formation Year

In 1912, Jharkhand was first time proposed by a student of St. Columba College Hazaribagh. J.Bartholman also known as father of Jharkhand movement who was also founder of “Christian Students Organization”.

In 1915, First interracial tribles Organization established as a “Chhotanagpur Unnati Samaj” in jharkhand . Unnati Samaj was the wing of Christian Students Organization and the purpose of this organization was to protect the Tribles Rights in terms of socially and economically.

In 1915, the publication of a magazine called Aadiwasi started by Chhotanagpur Unnati Saamj in hindi,English,Mundari and kudukhu.

Unnati Samaj main leader was Juel Lakda, Paul Dayal, Bandi Ram and Theble Uraon. In 1928, a memorandum submitted to the Simon Commission through Unnati Samaj for the separate administrative state Jharkhand. The proposal for the separate administrative state demanded by the leader of Unnati Samaj named Bishop Vaun Hayuk and Juel Lakda. This was the time when demanded a separate administrative state Jharkhand by Unnati Samaj at Chhotanagpur.

In1928 was the beginning of the Jharkhand movement in the British reign on the governmental level as well. Thus began the planned struggle for the state of Jharkhand in 1928.
